Great staff on the evening, night and morning. Rooms very basic

Only went for Spa day. Lovely day. Massage 👍 cream tea👍 spool& jacuzzi 👍. 😀

Really nice comfortable hotel. Great lady on reception ~ very welcoming. Only gripe is more real coffee in room pls and LESS Decaf ~ who drinks that??

But out of town. Disappointed that use of the pool was an extra charge of £10 per person. Room warm and comfortable. Only stayed one night. Bus stop at end of the road to get into Durham

Stayed on our way home from Scotland and our honeymoon. The atmosphere is really calm and relaxed. The staff are exceptional and the room was super. Little bit out of town but £10 taxi trip was great. Really great stay thank you all.

Great stay for couples, had the spa a minute walk away which was great. The beds were super comfy and we didn't want to leave 🙈 Rooms: The bed was so comfy, the lighting was beautiful and the rooms were spacious 👌 Food & drinks: Had snacks from the 24 hour bar and they were nice and at an affordable price.

It's not so great this time, especially for a returning customer. Paid for a premium room but was disappointed. The room was smelly, the mattress was deeping in the middle, and the cleanliness was below par.

Stayed here many times as a base for Durham and surrounding area. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Have use of Bannatynes gym, pool and spa whilst here for no additional cost. Food good and hotel well maintained.

Bathroom small but functional. Room large. Weird having to go over to the spa for breakfast. Food was good but one day took an age as really not enough staff on.

Travelling with my friend, we had requested a Twin room for our stopover… Firstly; When we arrived (11pm ish) the night receptionist was a little blunt and seemed pretty disinterested in us… The room itself was fairly basic but everything worked and it was clean!! I did feel it was proving very good value for money though… a bargain at only £63 My only criticism to be fair is that the single beds had less than 3 inches between them so it felt like we were in the same bed instead… 3/5 🌟🌟🌟— -
